Scaling with Purpose: Inside Vessel Home Services LLC’s Strategy for Acquisitions that Elevate Community Values
Within every industry, there are businesses that grow quickly and those that grow wisely. The difference often lies in how deeply leaders understand the responsibility that comes with that expansion. Trevor and Kristen Franco, founders of Vessel Home Services LLC, have found that growth doesn’t lie in metrics on a chart, but in a measure of impact, integrity, and how well a company can serve without losing sight of its roots.
Vessel Home Services has emerged as one of the most trusted names in residential heating and cooling, recognized for its technical expertise and for the philosophy driving its expansion. In a market where many companies scale fast and stretch thin, the husband and wife duo have built a business that expands only when it can do so without compromising quality, culture, or community.
“We’ve experienced a significant growth rate every year,” Kristen says, who manages the company’s operations and holds the company’s HVAC license, “But it’s very strategic. We don’t overdo it. We aim to grow at a rate where it makes sense, finding that sweet spot between business growth, our team, and our core values is important.” That very balance, she explains, is the key to maintaining Vessel’s high standards while keeping the business grounded.
This discipline also extends to how Vessel approaches acquisitions, where rather than buying businesses to erase and rebrand its foundation, the Francos explore ways to strengthen what already exists, preserving community trust and integrity while enhancing service. “We’re currently in the process of acquiring more companies, expanding to purchase plumbing and AC companies,” Trevor shares. “Our focus is always on building upon what already exists. We may buy a very small company that is already outfitted, we bring our force, and turn the volume up.”
Maintaining those standards, the Francos note, takes work, especially when integrating new teams. Vessel’s vetting process is known to be rigorous, with every acquired team retrained to align with the company’s culture and expectations. “We vet them all,” Kristen explains. “They go through a full training process with us, and if they can’t meet our standards, we restaff. When I interview someone, I ask, ‘Are you looking for a place to build your home?’ That’s the kind of commitment we want.”
That sense of belonging defines both their leadership and their brand as husband and wife. Trevor and Kristen bring a balance of vision and heart to every decision. Their dynamic has become a cornerstone of Vessel’s identity. As a power couple on a mission, they are driven to elevate their business as well as the broader home services industry.
Vessel Home Services is preparing to bring its values-driven model to new regions. Kristen confirms that several expansion opportunities are on the horizon, but emphasizes that the company’s focus remains on sustainable movement, not speed. “Our vendors are national, so the infrastructure is there,” she says. “We just want to be sure we’re ready before we open the floodgates.”
As Vessel extends into new realms, broadening its service scope, it continues to keep its commitment to craftsmanship and care intact. “To have the impact we want, to elevate the industry the way we envision, we can’t do it in just one space,” Trevor says. “We plan to uplift the home services industry as a whole.”
Fast growth can often bring losing touch with what makes a company special, but Vessel Home Services is proving that it doesn’t have to be that way. By focusing on people, purpose, and precision, Trevor and Kristen Franco are setting a new standard for what sustainable expansion can look like.
As the Francos continue to expand their footprint, their mission continues to lie in fostering growth that builds, expansion that uplifts, and acquisitions that enhance the communities they serve.
